CALCULATING THE MEAN #1--KEY

Directions: Calculate the mean for each set of numbers below. To find the mean of a set of numbers, add all of the data together, then divide that sum by the amount of numbers in the set.

Example: Here are the numbers in the set (2, 2, 8, 10, 8)

Add them together 2 + 2 + 8 + 10 + 8 = a total of 30

Divide by the amount of numbers in the set 30 divided by 5 gives you a mean of 6
