# Mean/Median/Mode/Range Worksheets

Statistics and Probability rank as two of my favorite areas of Mathematics. Â In fact, studying the statistics (or “stats) of my favorite sports teams is what helped me polish my math skills as a child. Â Thinking about probability also helped me get better at some of my favorite board games

Statistics are great because they help us to make sense out of large sets of data. Â If you find the mean scoring average of your favorite basketball player for an 82 game season (just add his point totals for each game and divide the sum by 82), you can compare him more easily to other players. Â If you find the median height of your classmates ( put their heights in order and find the data point in the middle) Â you can separate the class into taller and shorter people. Â For mode, look at everybody’s birthday, the date that appears the most is the mode!
